“Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.” - Marc Riboud
The month of July is the anniversary month of Digital Photography Plus since it started as a Facebook group on July 17, 2012. It started shortly after Friendster, another social networking folded. dp+ has been in existence as a Friendster group since 2007.
So for the 8th photo challenge, our July 1st year anniversary theme is photographer photo.
It is the photographer that is our main subject here without major photo manipulation. It can be the photographer him/herself taking a photograph of him/herself. It can also be the photographer taking the photo of another photographer. It can be a professional, an amateur or a hobbyist. By photographer photo, we mean the one behind the camera taking the photo.
In photography, it is not the camera that matters more but the eye or the photographer behind the lens. So it is but fitting that for our dp+ anniversary theme would be a subject that is close to our hearts that we can all easily identify with and relate to.
Since only minor photo manipulation is acceptable, please check out our mechanics on what covers acceptable photo manipulation all through our photo challenges. Here is the link:

Question: Do I have to be in the photo that I take of a photographer (or photographers) other than myself?
ReplyDeleteyou may or may not. it doesn't matter. just as long as it is a photographer photo - meaning the photographer is the main subject and it adheres to the 4 criteria. they are 1. Technicality or Quality; 2. Creativity and Originality; 3. Theme Adaptation; and 4. Overall Impression.
